December Christmas Concert

Join us December 6 at 7 p.m. for the Soulful Sounds of the Season with recording artist LeMont Mears.

LeMont's music has uplifted gospel audiences throughout the US and Asia. While embarking on a successful solo career, LeMont is a member of the Grammy® nominated and Stellar® Award winning Wilmington Chester Mass Choir.

The concert will be held in our sanctuary and a free-will offering will be accepted.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Please pluck a feather or two from the giant turkey in the DeRemer Gallery to help provide food for 45 families, complete with turkeys and all of the fixings. Please bring back all grocery items no later than Sunday, November 22 or you may drop off donated Giant gift cards in the office.

Baskets are distributed to Northampton Community Services for Children (Head Start Program) and County Children, Youth and Families. Each get 20 food baskets and the other five baskets are given out locally.

“Shop ‘Til You Drop Open House”

Join us for our Annual night of shopping, at Missing Piece, Sunday, December 6 from 5-8 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from this private sale will benefit the Summer Crew.

Sight and Sound’s “Miracle of Christmas”

Extend your holiday season with a trip to Sight and Sound’s “Miracle of Christmas” and Shady Maple Lunch Tuesday, December 29, 2015. We will leave the church at 8:00 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. show and then go on to Shady Maple for lunch at 2:30 p.m. We will return around 6:00 p.m. The cost for adults is $100 and for children, ages 3-12, is $70. Please sign up in the DeRemer Gallery after worship or by calling Amy Krug at 610-746-0618 or the Church Office. A deposit of $10 holds your place, while the final payment is due by November 22. Checks can be made out to St. John’s UCC. First come-first served.

Getting Married?

Let us help you plan your wedding. You do not have to be a member of St. John’s UCC.  We will provide an organist, our sanctuary, a wedding host, a minister, a marriage preparation workshop and a rehearsal.

Anyone desiring baptism for their children or themselves must meet with the pastor prior to the baptism. Baptisms are not normally scheduled on Sundays when Communion is also scheduled. Baptisms may be scheduled by filling out the request form or by calling the church office.
